CH 120 PRINCIPLES OF CHEMISTRY II w/LAB Min Units 4 Max Units 4 Part two of a two-semester course on the facts and principles of chemistry at the general chemistry level. The course has a mandatory lab that complements the lecture. Topics include re-emphasis of lab safety; intermolecular forces of attraction; kinetic-molecular theory; structure and properties of solids, liquids and gases; solutions, and colloidal suspensions; colligative properties; thermodynamics; chemical kinetics; chemical equilibrium and it applications; acid-base chemistry; buffers; redox and electrochemistry; descriptive chemistry. Lecture: 3 hours per week. Lab: 3 hours per week. 4 CRNCR Y SCIENCE Prerequisites: CH110 and MA 102 or higher
