MA 105 INTRODUCTION TO STATISTICS

Fundamental concepts of inferential and descriptive statistics with emphasis on interpretation of statistical arguments. An introduction to data analysis including graph analysis, measures of central tendency, correlation, regression, concepts of probability theory, sampling errors, confidence intervals in normal distribution, hypothesis testing, and analysis of variance. 3 Credits Prerequisite: MA 95* or higher, or the equivalent.
