ES 103 GRAMMAR AND EDITING This course is designed for English learners, including students in upper-level writing courses, who wish to improve their written and spoken English. Students use advanced grammatical structures in context and learn to identify their own grammatical errors. Students revise and edit their writing with a focus on development of ideas, clarity of expression, word choice, and grammatical accuracy. Topics may include verb forms, complex sentences, parallel structure, and sentence boundaries. Depending on program of study, students may apply up to 6 credits of ES courses to fulfill humanities, liberal arts, or program elective requirements. Lecture: 3 hours per week. 3 Credits.
