SO 101 INTRODUCTION TO SOCIOLOGY
Introduces students to the major concepts and theoretical approaches in the discipline of sociology. Emphasizes social institutions, stratification, community, power, and social change. Provides a foundation for understanding social scientific theory and methods; and fosters the development of critical thought, analytic reading, scholarly writing, and civic engagement. Lecture: 3 hours per week. 3 Credits.
