LI 231 CARIBBEAN LITERATURE AND CULTURE



This course is a survey of Caribbean literature and literary criticism across geographic and linguistic divides, examining the most important texts, from the foundational tradition in the 16th century and the origins of Modernity in the West Indies to the narratives and discursive practices that inform the present-day Caribbean world and its Diaspora. 3 Credits Prerequisites: EN 101 . (Completion of EN 102  is also recommended).
