BI 102 GENERAL BIOLOGY II w/LAB For non-science majors, a study is made of the mechanisms of evolution. The origin and diversity of life is studied by examining the evolutionary development of organisms in the three domains - Eukarya, Bacteria, and Archaea. Animal structure and function is covered by studying the principles and evolution of each organ system and then focusing on the human. This is followed by a study of plant structure and
function. The course ends with a study of the ecological interrelationships among organisms and organisms with their environment. Lecture: 3 hours per week. Lab: 2 hours per week. 4 Credits Prerequisite: BI101
