LA 250 HOSPITALITY LAW

The course addresses the legal aspects of hospitality management using the case method and legal briefs. The legal implications of civil law, tort and contracts will be discussed, along with the law and legal relationships that exist in the hospitality business context and environment. Further, this course prepares students and professionals in the hospitality industry to negotiate the industry’s complex network of legal requirements and manage their operations in a way to minimize legal risk. 3 credits. 3 Credits Prerequisite: HM 101
