NU 226 CONCEPTS IN NURSING CARE ACROSS THE LIFESPAN II PRACTICUM



This course provides students with a clinical experience in the acute care setting. Supplemental activities in other healthcare settings may be incorporated. One to one patient-care assignments provide an opportunity to explore more complex health problems or exemplars and support an understanding of integrated concepts introduced in the program to this point. Both individual patient-care assignments and cognitive clinical activities are used to support achievement of course outcomes. This course is linked to the NU 225 theory course. Failure in either NU 225 or NU 226 will require a repetition of both courses. 2 credits. Total contact hours 90. 2 Credits Prerequisites: NU 135, NU 160, NU 161, CS 100. Co-requisites: NU 225, NU 235, NU 236, any Humanities Elective.
