Division of Business & Professional Studies

Gain an overview of the exciting hospitality industry though this comprehensive program. You’ll receive an introduction to all aspects of the hotel, resort, and restaurant management sectors, as well as critical thinking and communication skills necessary for dealing with the general public. The hospitality industry is a growth industry, and its expansion is expected to continue. The industry seeks employees with marketing and management backgrounds, and the MassBay program includes courses in both areas. Students will have internship opportunities at excellent locations in Boston.

Students receive a broad background in general business administration and the liberal arts.

Upon completion, the associate in science degree in general business with a concentration in hospitality management is awarded.

Program Notes


Competency in mathematics is a MassBay graduation requirement. Prior to graduation, students must demonstrate competency at 100-level math. This may be accomplished by an appropriate placement test score or completion of any 100-level mathematics course or higher, except mathematics courses with a MAC prefix.
