HL 116 ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORDS

This course will focus on the basics of electronic health records (EHR) and health information systems (HIS) exchanges. Participants will learn the purpose, design, and function of these systems along with the legal and regulatory guidelines. Emphasis will be placed on learning through labs and hands-on with EHR software. Lecture: 2 hours per week. Total: 30 hours. 2 Credits
