PR 101 BEGINNING PORTUGUESE

Portuguese 101 is a beginning Portuguese language course which assumes no prior knowledge or experience with Portuguese. The course uses a variety of language teaching approaches to help students develop mastery of all four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. At the same time, students will become familiar with some of the most important cultural traits of Portuguese speaking world. At the beginning, emphasis will be given to listening comprehension and oral skills. Lecture: 3 hours per week. 3 Credits
